Lucy has trained in dance since the age of 3, starting out in ballet & tap, then
thanks to the craze of film “Dirty Dancing” In 1987 she began Ballroom, latin &
disco. It was then her journey with Nuneaton Dancentre began. At the age of 14 she
began assisting on classes, it was then she realised dancing was the career for her.
Lucy continued her training at Nuneaton Dancentre for a number of years, then at
the age of 16 she won a place at Coventry Centre for the Performing Arts where she
gained a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. Lucy then went on to qualify in
4 associate exams in Disco, Sequence, Modern Ballroom & Latin after her loyalty to
Nuneaton Dancentre in 2000 she was offered the chance to take over the studio. Lucy
says “when I was a child, being a Dance Teacher was always my dream job. I have great
joy in watching the progress of a total beginner turn into a dancing star, I am so
proud of all the achievements our pupils have gained and look forward to many more.
